our native nester, the "audubons" yellow-rumped warbler is enormously common in SW colorado, but quite a few of the northern variety called the "myrtle" warbler pass through our area. both are pretty but the myrtle has a white throat patch instead of the yellow throat of the audubons. this one of course is a male myrtle.
