a coyote walks along a grassy hill just above the lamar river in yellowstone national park. this is the part of the park where grizzlies and wolves frequent, and are the easiest to see given the open meadows. it's a panorama of the beautiful braided river and i placed the coyote off to the side so he wouldn't block the view. the coyote i photographed in the nearby madison river valley where he was hunting mice and paying me no attention at all. i assume the hunting in his new habitat will be just as productive.
