very unusually heavy spring rains in the southwest yielded an incredible bloom of wildflowers across the desert in 2015. here is the famous "totem poles" in monument valley navajo park in arizona. the lofty butte on the right is where a segment of the clint eastwood movie "the geiger sanction" was filmed. the park is amazing with it's incredible buttes and the sandy dunes of deep orange-- like paprika.
