i'm always amazed by the variety of colors and textures in a healthy, natural meadow; this one is fictionalized but roughly suggests a southern san juan colorado meadow at about 9000 feet. there are flowers mixed with sedges and grasses, dwarf trees and standing water in a series of pools.
