a painterly view of our own upper pasture which was nearly dead until a series of late summer rain storms brought these lovely flowers. they bloomed in enormous proliferation. i was never able to identify the flowers but assume they’re in the daisy or sunflower families. the buttes of mesa verde national park are seen in the background. ,
