based on a photo by my brother-in-law dan costello, this image became part of a montage that includes the grand edifice and bay beneath those great contrails in his original shot, as well as the added rowboats. there are a million great images of the portland head light at cape elizabeth maine, but the world never tires of nautical art, so here is my somewhat vicarious look at a famous landmark.
