while this may look like a space alien, it's in fact a critter that lived 75 million years ago, give or take, very near my home in SW colorado. this is a re-worked version of a dinosaur model seen at "moab giants" park in utah. (the owner of the park granted me permission to use photos of the dinosaurs for my own use). this critter lived in north america (particularly utah and new mexico) during the late cretaceous period, was 31 feet long, herbivorous, and weighed almost 3 tons. wow.
