a favorite birding spot for the autumn is this marsh in southwest colorado. it has mesa verde national park in the background. lots of shore birds like this snowy egret seem to be only visible here in either the spring or fall. this guy made a nice counterpart to the dark background of the willows and cottonwood in autumn.
