i found a dragonfly stiff and motionless and brought him inside to study. i believe it's a blue-eyed darner. thinking (s)he was fragile i gently put it on my scanner and got a few nice images. then i noticed that it's abdomen was slowly inflating and deflating-- it was still alive! opps, sorry fella! i hustled him outside and found a safe place to put him. later he was gone, hopefully he regained his composure and flew away.
