an american kestrel on an aspen branch in a winter scene. it has snowed, a blowing snow that has clung to the trunks and branches of the aspen trees. it's essentially a minimalist view on a blue grayish background. the trees and fence line are actually in my own backyard in SW colorado. kestrels are found year 'round throughout the contiguous united states.
