this is my dad's greyhound, a beautiful female "grey" called Marlowe, actually a polar bear kind of yellowish off-white. i took a number of shots for a portrait of marlowe and was struck by her clever look in this particular take. my folks have adopted a dozen greyhounds over 30 years and all have made magnificent comrades. all were rescued from the dog racing cartels in kansas that exploit them for profit.
