i saw and photographed a flock of cedar waxwings perching or roosting for the night in a winter magnolia tree. here the magnolia tree has been replaced by our own cottonwood tree, amidst the foliage of our own front yard, here in southwest colorado-- where we do see the species not nearly frequently enough.
