a bateleur eagle, a central african specie. unfortunately mine resides as a zoo captive in kansas city. perhaps one day i'll get to see these guys in the wild but for now... a straight forward portrait of the august bird with a flowing black head and crimson face. at least in this image, a manipulated photo-montage, the individual that i met is free of the cage.
